TRAVEL ALERTS

Travellin — Travel Alerts, Disruption Notifications, Safety Information & Traveller Awareness Policy

Company: BETZONE s.r.o.
Platform: Travellin
Jurisdiction of establishment: Czech Republic
Last Updated: 24 August 2026
Effective Date: 24 August 2026

1. Purpose

Travellin may provide travel alerts and disruption information to help customers make informed decisions before and during travel.

Travel alerts may concern:

  • severe weather;
  • natural disasters;
  • transport disruption;
  • airport or border closures;
  • strikes;
  • civil unrest;
  • security incidents;
  • health-related developments;
  • entry restrictions;
  • significant travel disruption;
  • destination-specific risks;
  • and other circumstances that may materially affect travel.

The purpose of an alert is to provide useful information and awareness. It is not to replace official government, emergency, medical, transport or supplier information.

2. Important Limitation

Travel conditions can change rapidly.

Travellin cannot guarantee that every alert will:

  • be complete;
  • be available immediately;
  • remain current;
  • apply to every traveller;
  • or reflect every development occurring at a destination.

Official authorities remain the primary source for government travel warnings, emergency instructions, entry requirements and other legally authoritative information.

The European Commission specifically notes that travel advice is the responsibility of the foreign ministries of EU Member States and that emergency advice may change frequently. (Consular Protection)

3. Official Sources

Where appropriate, Travellin may direct customers to authoritative sources, including:

  • government foreign ministries;
  • consular authorities;
  • immigration authorities;
  • border authorities;
  • airports;
  • airlines;
  • rail operators;
  • ferry and cruise operators;
  • local emergency authorities;
  • public-health authorities;
  • and other competent authorities.

Travellers should verify critical information directly with the relevant authority before travelling.

4. Czech Government Travel Information

As BETZONE s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, Travellin may refer customers to the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs for relevant official travel information.

The Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs publishes current travel warnings and recommendations concerning security threats, natural disasters, epidemics and other circumstances. It also expressly warns that foreign-country measures can change rapidly. (Ministry of Foreign Affairs)

This information is particularly relevant to Czech travellers, but customers of other nationalities should consult their own government’s travel-advice service.

5. European Union Travel Advice

The European Commission provides a central directory linking to travel-advice services operated by EU Member States. (Consular Protection)

Travellin may use or link to such official resources where appropriate.

Customers should select the travel advice applicable to their:

  • nationality;
  • destination;
  • transit country;
  • and circumstances.

6. What Constitutes a Travel Alert

A Travellin travel alert may identify a circumstance that could materially affect a traveller’s plans.

Examples include:

Security

  • armed conflict;
  • terrorism;
  • civil unrest;
  • demonstrations;
  • border incidents;
  • or elevated security risks.

Natural events

  • earthquakes;
  • volcanic activity;
  • hurricanes;
  • flooding;
  • wildfires;
  • extreme temperatures;
  • landslides;
  • or other natural hazards.

Transport

  • airport closure;
  • airline disruption;
  • railway disruption;
  • ferry cancellation;
  • cruise disruption;
  • road closure;
  • major strike;
  • or significant delays.

Health

  • disease outbreaks;
  • public-health restrictions;
  • or other health-related travel information.

Entry and borders

  • border closures;
  • visa changes;
  • entry restrictions;
  • documentation changes;
  • or quarantine requirements.

7. Alerts Are Not Emergency Services

Travellin is not an emergency-response organisation.

A travel alert should never be treated as a substitute for emergency assistance.

If a traveller is facing immediate danger, they should contact the relevant local emergency services or competent authorities.

8. Alerts Do Not Constitute Safety Guarantees

The absence of a Travellin alert does not mean that:

  • a destination is safe;
  • no risk exists;
  • no disruption is occurring;
  • or travel is recommended.

Likewise, the presence of an alert does not necessarily mean that travel is prohibited.

Travellers must consider the official information and their individual circumstances.

9. Government Travel Warnings

Travellin may reproduce, summarise or link to government travel advice.

Where information originates from an external authority, the authority remains responsible for its official advice.

Travellin does not convert third-party government advice into its own governmental recommendation.

10. Nationality Matters

Travel requirements and risks can differ according to nationality.

For example, different travellers may have different:

  • visa requirements;
  • entry permissions;
  • consular protections;
  • vaccination requirements;
  • residence rights;
  • and government travel advice.

Customers should therefore check advice issued by the government or competent authority relevant to their nationality.

11. Destination and Transit Countries

Travellers should check conditions not only at their final destination but also in:

  • transit countries;
  • connecting airports;
  • border crossings;
  • cruise ports;
  • transfer locations;
  • and other points along the journey.

A disruption in a transit location may affect a journey even when the final destination is unaffected.

12. Transport Disruptions

Transport disruptions can include:

  • flight cancellations;
  • significant delays;
  • missed connections;
  • airport closures;
  • rail strikes;
  • road closures;
  • ferry cancellations;
  • cruise itinerary changes;
  • and public-transport interruptions.

Travellers should monitor the transport provider directly.

13. Airline Information

For flights, the airline and relevant airport are important sources of operational information.

Customers should check:

  • flight status;
  • departure terminal;
  • gate;
  • check-in requirements;
  • baggage requirements;
  • schedule changes;
  • and cancellation information.

A Travellin search result should not be treated as a substitute for the airline’s operational flight-status system.

14. Passenger Rights

Where travel disruption affects an eligible transport service, customers may have statutory passenger rights.

EU passenger-rights rules cover air, rail, bus/coach and ship travel in relevant circumstances. The European Commission identifies information, assistance, rerouting and reimbursement among the core passenger-rights protections. (Mobility and Transport)

Travellers should consult the separate:

Flight Passenger Rights

policy and the relevant transport provider.

15. Travel Alerts and Cancellations

A travel alert does not automatically cancel a booking.

Cancellation rights depend upon:

  • the supplier;
  • booking terms;
  • applicable law;
  • type of travel service;
  • circumstances causing the disruption;
  • and any applicable passenger or consumer protection.

Customers should not assume that a warning automatically creates a right to a full refund.

16. Travel Alerts and Refunds

Where a disruption results in a legally applicable refund entitlement, the refund should be handled according to the applicable booking and legal framework.

Customers should follow the relevant:

Refund Policy

and:

Amend or Cancel Booking

procedures.

17. Supplier Notifications

Travellin may receive disruption information from suppliers.

Examples may include:

  • airline cancellation notices;
  • hotel closure notifications;
  • activity cancellation;
  • transport schedule changes;
  • or supplier-generated operational alerts.

Where Travellin receives relevant information and has the technical ability to communicate it, Travellin may notify affected customers.

18. Customer Contact Details

Customers should provide accurate contact information when booking.

Travellin may use the contact details supplied during booking to send important information concerning:

  • booking changes;
  • cancellations;
  • disruptions;
  • payment issues;
  • and other material travel information.

19. Alert Delivery

Depending on the Platform and booking, alerts may be communicated through:

  • email;
  • customer account;
  • booking notifications;
  • Platform notices;
  • or other available communication channels.

Travellin cannot guarantee that every alert will reach every customer immediately.

20. Marketing Versus Safety Alerts

Important travel alerts are distinct from ordinary marketing communications.

A customer may receive essential booking or disruption information even where they have opted out of promotional communications, where permitted or required by applicable law.

21. Alert Severity

Where Travellin uses severity classifications, they may include categories such as:

Information
A development travellers should be aware of.

Caution
A development that may affect travel plans or require additional preparation.

Significant Disruption
A development likely to materially affect transportation or travel arrangements.

Serious Warning
A significant safety, security or operational development requiring careful consideration.

Emergency / Critical
A serious event requiring travellers to follow official emergency instructions.

The exact terminology may vary according to the information source.

22. No Universal Risk Rating

An alert level displayed by Travellin should not be interpreted as a universal or scientific measurement of personal risk.

Risk can vary according to:

  • location;
  • timing;
  • traveller profile;
  • transport route;
  • activity;
  • weather;
  • and changing circumstances.

23. Natural Disasters

Travellin may issue or display information concerning:

  • earthquakes;
  • tsunamis;
  • volcanic eruptions;
  • hurricanes;
  • floods;
  • wildfires;
  • storms;
  • extreme heat;
  • extreme cold;
  • landslides;
  • and other natural hazards.

Travellers should follow instructions issued by local authorities.

24. Severe Weather

Weather conditions can affect:

  • flights;
  • roads;
  • ferries;
  • cruises;
  • accommodation;
  • outdoor activities;
  • and airport operations.

Weather forecasts and warnings can change quickly.

Travellers should monitor official meteorological and transport sources close to departure.

25. Wildfires

Wildfires may result in:

  • road closures;
  • evacuation orders;
  • airport disruption;
  • poor air quality;
  • accommodation closures;
  • or activity cancellations.

Travellers should follow local evacuation and emergency instructions.

26. Flooding

Flooding can affect:

  • roads;
  • airports;
  • railways;
  • accommodation;
  • attractions;
  • and local infrastructure.

Travellers should not enter restricted or evacuated areas merely because a route remains visible on a mapping service.

27. Earthquakes and Volcanic Activity

Travellers visiting areas affected by seismic or volcanic activity should monitor:

  • local authorities;
  • geological agencies;
  • airports;
  • airlines;
  • and other relevant official sources.

Volcanic activity can affect aviation even when an airport is geographically distant from the eruption.

28. Security Incidents

Travellin may provide information concerning significant:

  • armed conflicts;
  • terrorist incidents;
  • civil unrest;
  • demonstrations;
  • border tensions;
  • or other security developments.

Customers should rely on competent authorities for instructions concerning evacuation, shelter, movement or other safety measures.

29. Demonstrations and Civil Unrest

Customers should be aware that demonstrations can result in:

  • road closures;
  • public-transport disruption;
  • access restrictions;
  • curfews;
  • or local security measures.

Travellers should avoid restricted areas and follow official instructions.

30. Health Alerts

Travellin may provide general information about significant health developments.

Travellin is not a medical authority.

Customers should obtain medical advice from qualified professionals and consult the relevant:

  • health authority;
  • public-health agency;
  • government travel-health service;
  • or medical provider.

31. Entry Requirements

Travel alerts may concern changes to:

  • visas;
  • passports;
  • electronic travel authorisations;
  • vaccinations;
  • health certificates;
  • customs requirements;
  • immigration rules;
  • or border procedures.

Customers remain responsible for ensuring that they possess the documents required for their journey.

32. Entry Rules Can Change

Government entry requirements may change without extensive notice.

Travellin therefore recommends checking official requirements shortly before departure, even if the customer checked them when booking.

33. Passport and Visa Responsibility

Travellin does not guarantee that a customer will satisfy immigration requirements.

Customers are responsible for:

  • valid travel documents;
  • visa eligibility;
  • transit permissions;
  • passport validity;
  • and other entry requirements applicable to their circumstances.

34. Destination-Specific Requirements

A traveller may need different documentation for:

  • destination country;
  • transit country;
  • airport transit;
  • cruise port;
  • or return journey.

Customers should check the complete itinerary rather than only the final destination.

35. Alerts for Activities

Travel alerts may also concern activities such as:

  • skiing;
  • surfing;
  • diving;
  • rafting;
  • hiking;
  • safaris;
  • water sports;
  • and other outdoor or adventure activities.

Activity providers may suspend services because of:

  • weather;
  • safety;
  • capacity;
  • environmental conditions;
  • or local authority instructions.

36. Accommodation Disruptions

A property may become unavailable because of:

  • emergency closure;
  • weather;
  • fire;
  • infrastructure problems;
  • health measures;
  • local authority action;
  • or other circumstances.

Where Travellin receives such information, it may communicate the change to affected customers.

37. Cruise Alerts

Cruise itineraries can change because of:

  • weather;
  • port closures;
  • security conditions;
  • operational requirements;
  • or other circumstances.

A cruise operator may change ports, times or itinerary without Travellin being able to prevent the change.

38. Car Rental and Road Alerts

Road conditions may affect rental-car journeys.

Customers should monitor:

  • road closures;
  • border restrictions;
  • weather;
  • local driving requirements;
  • and official transport warnings.

39. Travel Insurance

Travel alerts do not themselves determine whether an insurance policy will cover a loss.

Insurance coverage depends upon the customer’s policy.

Customers should check:

  • cancellation cover;
  • disruption cover;
  • medical cover;
  • evacuation;
  • natural-disaster coverage;
  • terrorism exclusions;
  • war exclusions;
  • and other relevant terms.

40. Pre-Existing Events

Insurance policies can contain special rules where an event was:

  • known;
  • publicly reported;
  • already occurring;
  • or subject to an official warning

before the policy was purchased.

Customers should review their insurer’s terms carefully.

41. Travellin Is Not an Insurer

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Travellin does not provide insurance coverage merely by displaying travel alerts or travel information.

42. Alert Accuracy

Travellin seeks to use credible and relevant information sources.

However, Travellin may depend upon third-party information and cannot independently verify every event in real time.

43. Information Delays

There may be a delay between:

  1. an event occurring;
  2. an authority publishing information;
  3. Travellin receiving or identifying the information;
  4. and the alert appearing on the Platform.

Customers should therefore monitor official sources independently.

44. Conflicting Information

Different authorities or suppliers may publish different information.

Where this occurs, customers should prioritise:

  • competent local authorities for immediate safety instructions;
  • the relevant government for official travel advice;
  • and the supplier for operational booking information.

45. Alert Updates

Travellin may:

  • update;
  • amend;
  • downgrade;
  • escalate;
  • archive;
  • or remove

an alert when information changes.

The date and/or time of an update may be displayed where technically available.

46. Historical Alerts

Archived alerts may be retained for:

  • transparency;
  • operational records;
  • customer-service purposes;
  • dispute resolution;
  • or legal compliance.

A historical alert should not be interpreted as current travel advice.

47. Alerts Are Informational

Travellin travel alerts are intended to assist customers in making informed decisions.

They are not:

  • legal advice;
  • immigration advice;
  • medical advice;
  • insurance advice;
  • financial advice;
  • security guarantees;
  • or emergency instructions.

48. Customer Responsibility

Travellers remain responsible for making their own informed travel decisions.

Before departure, customers should check:

  • official travel advice;
  • entry requirements;
  • transport status;
  • weather;
  • health requirements;
  • insurance;
  • passports and visas;
  • and supplier instructions.

49. Before Departure Checklist

Travellin recommends that customers check, shortly before departure:

1. Destination:
Current government travel advice.

2. Entry:
Visa, passport and border requirements.

3. Transport:
Flight, rail, ferry, cruise or road status.

4. Weather:
Current forecasts and warnings.

5. Health:
Relevant health requirements.

6. Booking:
Supplier confirmation and schedule.

7. Insurance:
Coverage and exclusions.

8. Contact:
Emergency and supplier contact information.

50. During Travel

Travellers should continue monitoring relevant information after departure.

Conditions can change after the journey has begun.

Customers should follow local authority instructions even where those instructions differ from an earlier Travellin alert.

51. Emergency Evacuation

Travellin cannot guarantee evacuation or repatriation.

Customers requiring emergency assistance should contact the relevant local authorities, emergency services, consular authorities and/or insurer.

52. Consular Assistance

Travellers should understand that consular assistance depends upon:

  • nationality;
  • destination;
  • local circumstances;
  • applicable diplomatic arrangements;
  • and the capabilities of the relevant government.

Travellin cannot guarantee that a particular government will provide a specific form of assistance.

53. EU Consular Information

EU citizens may have access to consular assistance mechanisms in certain circumstances when their own country is not represented in a particular non-EU country.

Customers should consult the relevant official government or EU consular information for their circumstances.

54. Travel Alert and Supplier Contract

A travel alert does not automatically modify the customer’s contract with a supplier.

The customer’s rights and obligations remain governed by:

  • the booking terms;
  • supplier conditions;
  • applicable legislation;
  • passenger-rights rules;
  • and other applicable contractual documents.

55. Package Travel

Where a booking legally constitutes a package travel arrangement, additional statutory protections may apply.

EU package-travel rules were amended in May 2026, including strengthened provisions concerning crisis situations, cancellations, refunds and insolvency protection; however, Member States have a transposition period before the new rules become binding nationally. (European Commission)

Customers should therefore distinguish between:

  • current applicable law;
  • future legislative requirements;
  • and voluntary practices adopted before mandatory implementation.

56. Travel Alerts Do Not Create Contractual Rights Automatically

Unless applicable law or the booking terms provide otherwise, publication of a Travellin alert does not itself create:

  • a right to cancellation;
  • a right to refund;
  • compensation;
  • reimbursement;
  • rebooking;
  • or alternative accommodation.

The underlying legal and contractual framework determines the customer’s rights.

57. Complaints

If a customer believes that Travellin failed to communicate material information that Travellin was responsible for communicating, the customer may contact:

bookings@travellin.info

For general concerns:

info@travellin.info

The separate:

Complaints Procedure

sets out the applicable complaint process.

58. Reporting Incorrect Information

If a customer identifies potentially outdated or incorrect travel-alert information, they are encouraged to report it.

Please include:

  • destination;
  • alert concerned;
  • relevant date;
  • source of conflicting information;
  • and a description of the issue.

59. Continuous Monitoring

Travellin may monitor relevant sources and supplier information for significant developments.

Monitoring frequency may vary according to:

  • destination;
  • type of risk;
  • availability of reliable data;
  • technical capabilities;
  • and severity of the event.

No monitoring system can detect every event immediately.

60. Final Statement

Travellin’s objective is to help customers remain informed about material events that may affect their travel while making clear that official authorities and service providers remain the primary sources of authoritative safety and operational information.

Travel conditions can change rapidly. Customers should therefore check official sources immediately before departure and whenever circumstances change.

For EU passenger-rights information, the European Commission provides current guidance covering air, rail, road and maritime travel. (Mobility and Transport)

For Czech travellers, the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs maintains current travel warnings and recommendations and expressly advises travellers to verify current conditions because foreign-country rules can change rapidly. (Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
