  • taxes and charges;
  • occupancy;
  • cancellation conditions;
  • payment;
  • check-in and check-out;
  • accommodation suppliers;
  • facilities and amenities;

2. Travellin’s Role

Travellin may display accommodation supplied by independent third-party providers.

Depending on the particular transaction, Travellin may act as:

  • search and comparison platform;
  • affiliate/referral intermediary;
  • booking intermediary;
  • technology provider;
  • or booking facilitator.

Unless expressly stated in the applicable booking documentation:

Travellin is not the accommodation provider.

The actual accommodation is provided by the hotel, property owner, accommodation operator, booking supplier or other identified accommodation provider.

3. Who Is Your Contractual Accommodation Provider?

The applicable booking confirmation should identify the relevant supplier or contracting party.

This may be:

  • a hotel;
  • resort;
  • apartment operator;
  • villa operator;
  • serviced-apartment provider;
  • hostel;
  • guesthouse;
  • holiday-home provider;
  • property-management company;
  • accommodation marketplace;
  • bed bank;
  • or another supplier.

The fact that an accommodation appears on Travellin does not automatically mean that Travellin owns, operates or manages the property.

4. Accommodation Descriptions

Accommodation information displayed on Travellin may originate from:

  • the accommodation provider;
  • hotel distribution systems;
  • bed banks;
  • API suppliers;
  • affiliate partners;
  • property-management systems;
  • or other authorised data sources.

Travellin seeks to display information accurately but cannot independently inspect or verify every property, facility or statement contained in third-party data.

5. Property Categories

Accommodation may be described using classifications such as:

  • hotel;
  • resort;
  • apartment;
  • aparthotel;
  • villa;
  • holiday home;
  • bungalow;
  • hostel;
  • guesthouse;
  • lodge;
  • campsite;
  • serviced apartment;
  • residence;
  • boutique property;
  • or other accommodation category.

Classification may originate from the supplier or applicable distribution system.

6. Star Ratings

Where a star rating is displayed, it may be based on:

  • an official classification;
  • national classification system;
  • supplier information;
  • distribution-provider information;
  • or another recognised rating source.

Star classifications are not necessarily directly comparable between countries.

A five-star property in one jurisdiction may operate under different classification criteria from a five-star property elsewhere.

7. Customer Ratings and Reviews

Customer ratings and reviews may originate from suppliers, Travellin, affiliate partners or other review sources.

Ratings should be considered together with:

  • review methodology;
  • review date;
  • number of reviews;
  • property category;
  • location;
  • and individual circumstances.

A rating is not a guarantee of future service quality.

8. Property Images

Photographs may be supplied by:

  • the accommodation provider;
  • distribution partners;
  • affiliate systems;
  • or other authorised sources.

Images are intended to provide an indication of the accommodation.

Furniture, decoration, views, landscaping, room configuration and facilities may change.

A photograph does not necessarily guarantee the exact room, view or configuration allocated to the customer.

9. Room Images

An image displayed for a room category may represent that room category generally.

The actual room assigned may differ in:

  • layout;
  • floor;
  • furniture;
  • decoration;
  • orientation;
  • view;
  • or exact dimensions.

The booked room category and applicable room description take precedence over a generic illustrative image where appropriate.

10. Room Type

Customers should carefully check the exact room type before booking.

Examples include:

  • Standard Room;
  • Superior Room;
  • Deluxe Room;
  • Family Room;
  • Suite;
  • Junior Suite;
  • Studio;
  • Apartment;
  • Villa;
  • Bungalow;
  • Dormitory;
  • or other supplier-defined categories.

A room title does not necessarily have the same meaning at every property.

11. Bed Configuration

A room may be offered with:

  • double bed;
  • king bed;
  • queen bed;
  • twin beds;
  • single bed;
  • sofa bed;
  • bunk bed;
  • extra bed;
  • or another configuration.

Where a booking states bed type on request, the requested configuration is not necessarily guaranteed.

12. Extra Beds

Extra beds or sofa beds may:

  • be subject to availability;
  • incur an additional charge;
  • require advance confirmation;
  • have age restrictions;
  • or reduce available room space.

The applicable property rules determine whether an extra bed can be provided.

13. Occupancy

The maximum occupancy shown for a room should be respected.

Occupancy may depend on:

  • number of adults;
  • children;
  • infants;
  • room configuration;
  • local fire regulations;
  • property rules;
  • and availability of additional beds.

14. Children

Child policies differ between accommodation providers.

A property may define children according to specific age ranges.

For example, a property may distinguish between:

  • infants;
  • young children;
  • children;
  • teenagers;
  • and adults.

Customers should enter the correct ages during the booking process where requested.

15. Infant Policies

An infant may be:

  • accommodated free of charge;
  • charged separately;
  • counted within occupancy;
  • provided with a cot;
  • or subject to a property-specific policy.

Cot availability should not be assumed unless confirmed.

16. Meals and Board Basis

Accommodation may be sold with different meal arrangements, including:

  • room only;
  • breakfast included;
  • bed and breakfast;
  • half board;
  • full board;
  • all inclusive;
  • or another supplier-defined arrangement.

The exact booking confirmation should determine what is included.

17. Breakfast

Where breakfast is included, the booking conditions should identify the applicable arrangement where available.

Breakfast may be:

  • buffet;
  • continental;
  • à la carte;
  • set menu;
  • takeaway;
  • or another format.

Breakfast hours may change and should be confirmed with the property where necessary.

18. All-Inclusive

“All-inclusive” does not necessarily mean that every service at the property is free of charge.

Some properties may exclude:

  • premium beverages;
  • speciality restaurants;
  • spa treatments;
  • room service;
  • excursions;
  • imported products;
  • minibar items;
  • premium activities;
  • or other services.

The property’s specific all-inclusive conditions apply.

19. Taxes and Charges

The displayed accommodation price may include certain mandatory taxes and charges.

Other charges may be payable separately depending on:

  • destination;
  • local legislation;
  • property policy;
  • occupancy;
  • length of stay;
  • or services used.

Where known, mandatory charges should be disclosed before booking where required by applicable law.

20. City and Tourist Taxes

Some destinations impose:

  • tourist tax;
  • city tax;
  • accommodation tax;
  • environmental levy;
  • visitor contribution;
  • or similar local charges.

Such charges may be payable directly at the property.

Where the amount depends on circumstances such as age, nationality, length of stay or local rules, the exact amount may not be known at the time of booking.

21. Resort Fees and Property Charges

Certain properties may impose separate charges such as:

  • resort fee;
  • destination fee;
  • facility fee;
  • cleaning fee;
  • service charge;
  • security deposit;
  • or other property-specific charge.

Where such charges are known and applicable, they should be presented in the booking information as required.

22. Security Deposits

An accommodation provider may require a security deposit.

The deposit may be:

  • payable at check-in;
  • pre-authorised on a payment card;
  • collected in cash;
  • or handled through another method.

The property determines the applicable deposit conditions.

23. Deposit Refund

Where a security deposit is refundable, the accommodation provider normally controls its release.

The timing may depend on:

  • inspection of the property;
  • bank/card processing;
  • damage assessment;
  • local procedures;
  • and property policy.

Travellin cannot guarantee the timing of a supplier-controlled deposit refund.

24. Check-In

The standard check-in time is property-specific.

Customers should follow the check-in time stated in the booking confirmation or accommodation information.

Early check-in is not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed.

25. Late Check-In

Customers arriving after normal reception hours should review the property’s late-arrival instructions.

Late check-in may require:

  • advance notice;
  • access code;
  • key collection;
  • identification;
  • additional fee;
  • or another procedure.

26. Check-Out

Customers must normally vacate the accommodation by the stated check-out time.

Late check-out may be available subject to:

  • availability;
  • additional charges;
  • and property approval.

27. Early Check-In and Late Check-Out

Neither is automatically included in the accommodation price.

Customers should request these services directly from the property where appropriate.

28. Identification Requirements

Accommodation providers may require identification at check-in.

Depending on local law, this may include:

  • passport;
  • national identity card;
  • driving licence;
  • residence document;
  • or other acceptable identification.

The property’s and local authorities’ requirements apply.

29. Minimum Check-In Age

Some properties impose a minimum age for the person checking in.

This may differ from the minimum age for making a booking.

Customers should verify the applicable property policy before travel.

30. Accessibility

Accessibility information may include:

  • wheelchair-accessible entrances;
  • accessible rooms;
  • lifts;
  • adapted bathrooms;
  • step-free access;
  • accessible parking;
  • or other facilities.

Availability of a facility should be confirmed directly with the accommodation provider where it is essential to the customer’s stay.

31. Special Requests

Customers may request:

  • accessible room;
  • cot;
  • extra bed;
  • specific bed configuration;
  • connecting rooms;
  • high/low floor;
  • quiet room;
  • late arrival;
  • or other preferences.

A request is not a guarantee unless expressly confirmed.

32. Connecting and Adjacent Rooms

Connecting or adjacent rooms are normally subject to availability.

A request for adjoining rooms should not be treated as guaranteed unless confirmed by the property.

33. Pets

Pet policies are property-specific.

A property may:

  • prohibit pets;
  • permit pets for a fee;
  • restrict certain animals;
  • impose weight restrictions;
  • require advance approval;
  • or permit assistance animals under applicable law.

Customers should check the property’s policy before arrival.

34. Smoking

Smoking policies differ between properties and jurisdictions.

A room advertised as non-smoking should be treated according to the property’s applicable rules.

Smoking violations may result in additional charges where permitted by the property’s terms and applicable law.

35. Facilities and Amenities

Displayed facilities may include:

  • swimming pool;
  • spa;
  • gym;
  • restaurant;
  • bar;
  • parking;
  • Wi-Fi;
  • beach access;
  • children’s facilities;
  • air conditioning;
  • laundry;
  • or other amenities.

Facilities may be:

  • seasonal;
  • subject to availability;
  • restricted to certain guests;
  • subject to separate charges;
  • or temporarily unavailable.

36. Swimming Pools and Seasonal Facilities

Outdoor pools, ski facilities, beach services and other seasonal amenities may operate only during specified periods.

Weather, maintenance, safety requirements or other circumstances may affect availability.

37. Construction and Maintenance

Accommodation providers may occasionally undertake:

  • renovation;
  • construction;
  • maintenance;
  • refurbishment;
  • or facility upgrades.

Where Travellin receives material information about a significant disruption, it may communicate the information where appropriate.

38. Property Relocation

In exceptional circumstances, an accommodation provider may be unable to accommodate a confirmed guest.

The supplier may provide alternative accommodation according to the applicable booking terms and law.

Where Travellin acts as intermediary, it may assist with communication.

39. Accommodation Cancellation

Cancellation rights are determined by the specific rate and booking conditions.

Possible rates include:

  • free cancellation;
  • partially refundable;
  • non-refundable;
  • pay later;
  • prepaid;
  • or supplier-specific flexible rates.

The exact conditions displayed at booking govern the transaction, subject to mandatory law.

40. Cancellation Deadline

Where a booking is cancellable, the booking will normally specify a deadline.

The relevant time zone may be that of:

  • the property;
  • the booking system;
  • or another specified location.

Customers should not wait until the last moment to submit a cancellation request.

41. No-Show

Failure to arrive without properly cancelling may result in:

  • loss of the booking;
  • cancellation charge;
  • loss of the first night;
  • full non-refundable charge;
  • or another supplier-defined consequence.

42. Early Departure

Leaving early does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund for unused nights.

The applicable accommodation terms determine whether a refund is available.

43. Accommodation Amendments

Changes may include:

  • dates;
  • occupancy;
  • room category;
  • number of rooms;
  • guest details;
  • meal plan;
  • or other booking elements.

An amendment is subject to availability and supplier conditions.

44. Price Changes Following Amendments

Changing an accommodation booking may cause:

  • higher rate;
  • lower rate;
  • new taxes;
  • new cancellation conditions;
  • amendment fee;
  • or loss of the original rate.

The revised booking price should be confirmed before the change is completed.

45. Overbooking

Accommodation providers may occasionally encounter overbooking or inventory discrepancies.

If this occurs, the supplier should follow its contractual and legal obligations.

Travellin may assist in communicating with the accommodation provider where it is involved in the booking.

46. Accommodation Complaints

If a customer experiences a problem during the stay, the customer should normally:

  1. notify the accommodation provider immediately;
  2. give the provider an opportunity to correct the problem;
  3. document the issue;
  4. retain evidence;
  5. contact Travellin where Travellin is involved in the booking.

Prompt notification is particularly important where the problem can reasonably be corrected during the stay.

47. Evidence of Problems

Customers should retain:

  • photographs;
  • videos;
  • correspondence;
  • receipts;
  • room information;
  • booking confirmation;
  • names of staff contacted;
  • and dates/times of complaints.

This may assist with any subsequent claim.

48. Supplier Responsibility for Accommodation

The accommodation provider is generally responsible for the actual delivery of the accommodation service.

This includes, where applicable:

  • room availability;
  • cleanliness;
  • property facilities;
  • check-in;
  • accommodation conditions;
  • and other services it has contracted to provide.

Travellin does not automatically assume responsibility for supplier-controlled services.

49. Travellin’s Responsibility

Travellin is responsible for matters falling within its own role.

Depending on the booking, this may include:

  • displaying booking information;
  • transmitting booking details;
  • Platform functionality;
  • payment processing it controls;
  • communications;
  • and intermediary obligations.

50. Accommodation Quality

Travellin does not independently guarantee that an accommodation property will meet every customer’s expectations.

The property remains responsible for the service it provides under its applicable contract and law.

51. Legal Classification

Accommodation booked through Travellin may form part of:

  • a standalone accommodation contract;
  • a booking facilitated through an intermediary;
  • a legally defined package;
  • or a linked travel arrangement.

The legal classification depends on the actual transaction structure, not merely on how the accommodation is displayed on the website.

52. Accommodation Combined With Other Services

A customer may combine accommodation with:

  • flights;
  • transfers;
  • activities;
  • vehicle rental;
  • cruises;
  • restaurants;
  • entertainment;
  • or other travel services.

Each combination must be assessed according to its actual legal and commercial structure.

53. Important Distinction

Displaying:

Flight + Hotel + Activity

on one Travellin search page does not automatically establish that Travellin is the organiser or seller of a legally defined package travel arrangement.

Where package-travel legislation applies, however, the applicable statutory protections and obligations must be respected.

54. Booking Confirmation

The accommodation booking confirmation should, where applicable, contain:

  • property name;
  • address;
  • room type;
  • occupancy;
  • dates;
  • check-in;
  • check-out;
  • meal plan;
  • cancellation conditions;
  • total price;
  • taxes/charges;
  • supplier;
  • booking reference;
  • and special conditions.

Customers should review the confirmation immediately after booking.

55. Supplier Terms

Accommodation suppliers may have additional terms covering:

  • deposits;
  • minimum stays;
  • age restrictions;
  • pets;
  • smoking;
  • events;
  • visitors;
  • parking;
  • payment;
  • cancellation;
  • damage;
  • and other matters.

These terms may form part of the customer’s contract with the accommodation provider.

56. Pricing Errors

If an obvious technical or pricing error occurs, Travellin or the relevant supplier may need to investigate the transaction.

Travellin will not intentionally misrepresent an erroneous price as a guaranteed commercial offer where the law permits correction.

Where a booking has already been confirmed and mandatory consumer law applies, the customer’s statutory rights remain unaffected.

57. Currency

Accommodation prices may be displayed in different currencies.

The final amount charged may depend on:

  • booking currency;
  • payment currency;
  • supplier currency;
  • exchange rate;
  • and payment-provider conversion.

Customers should check the final checkout amount before payment.

58. Payment at Property

Some accommodation rates may require payment:

  • at booking;
  • at check-in;
  • at check-out;
  • or partly at different stages.

The booking confirmation should identify the applicable payment arrangement.

59. Card Pre-Authorisation

A property may pre-authorise a payment card for:

  • security deposit;
  • incidentals;
  • room charges;
  • or other purposes.

A pre-authorisation is not necessarily an actual final charge.

The release timing depends on the property and card issuer.

60. Third-Party Booking Supplier

Where Travellin obtains accommodation inventory from a third-party supplier, that supplier may appear as the booking or contractual intermediary.

Customers should examine the booking confirmation for the identified supplier.

61. Affiliate Accommodation Bookings

Where Travellin operates through an affiliate relationship and the customer completes the booking on a supplier website:

  • the supplier’s terms apply to the booking;
  • the supplier controls the booking;
  • the supplier controls payment and cancellation;
  • and Travellin may receive commission for the referral.

The affiliate relationship does not itself make Travellin the accommodation provider.

62. Data Accuracy

Travellin takes reasonable measures to present accommodation information accurately.

Nevertheless, third-party data may contain:

  • outdated descriptions;
  • incorrect amenity information;
  • inaccurate photographs;
  • temporary facility closures;
  • or pricing/inventory errors.

Where a material discrepancy is identified, Travellin will seek to address it appropriately.

66. Customer Rights

Nothing on this page is intended to:

  • exclude mandatory consumer rights;
  • restrict statutory remedies;
  • misrepresent the accommodation provider;
  • remove legally required information;
  • or limit rights that cannot legally be waived.

Where mandatory law provides stronger protection, mandatory law prevails.

67. Relationship With Other Travellin Policies

This page should be read together with:

  • Terms & Conditions
  • Booking & Supplier Relationship
  • Amend or Cancel Booking
  • Refund Policy
  • Consumer Rights
  • Complaints Procedure
  • Privacy Policy
  • Cookie Policy
  • Affiliate & Referral Disclosure

Where the law requires a particular consumer protection, that protection prevails over any inconsistent general wording.

68. Final Statement

Travellin aims to provide customers with clear and transparent accommodation information while distinguishing between the Platform and the independent accommodation provider.

The property or relevant accommodation supplier remains responsible for delivering the accommodation service, unless Travellin expressly assumes that responsibility under the particular booking.

Customers should always review the individual booking conditions because accommodation rates, cancellation rules, taxes, deposits, room configurations and supplier policies can differ substantially between properties and booking types.

No statement on this page excludes or limits any mandatory statutory consumer right.
